MPCCC’s mission is to advance cancer care by integrating our network of partners in discovery, translational and clinical research, develop accessible platforms in order to support future patient-centred research and clinical care; and advance clinical expertise and experience through inter disciplinary collaborations. Current Programs and Future Opportunities within the MPCCC Precision Cancer Plan have been categorised under five main themes.

MPCCC is establishing a registry for collecting and sharing molecular sequencing data to facilitate

MPCCC Molecular Oncology and Pathology Fellows Network was established to improve collaboration and communication across partner organisations.

Training and Education

Our program proudly supports aspiring scholars by awarding prestigious PhD scholarships. These scholarships are aimed at fostering research excellence and innovation within our discipline.

Past Programs

MPCCC projects involve multi-disciplinary clinicians and researchers from across MPCCC partner organisations. These projects aim to support pre-clinical research, identify and address gaps in cancer research and services, facilitate the translation of research into clinical care, and use robust data to determine future priorities.

Clinical trials provide cancer patients with the opportunity to access new treatments, therapies and technologies.

Collecting patient-reported experience and outcome measures to improve care

In March 2019 MPCCC introduced two complimentary projects to pilot the collection of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) and to inform better cancer care.

Victorian COVID-19 Cancer Network

The Victorian COVID-19 Cancer Network (VCCN) was established in March 2020 in response to the challenges involved with managing cancer care amid the global health crisis.
